Monday was a movie and if you missed it you missed out! After the Dodgers beat the Toronto Blue Jays in Game 7 of the MLB World Series, I knew I had to attend the Dodgers championship parade! Especailly considering I missed last years and back to back championships are rare in the MLB. Who knows when this will happen again, although Angelenos and Dodgers fans everywhere are keeping our fingers crossed for a 3peat!
I went with the parentals to the festivities via Metro and we found ourselves in the thick of it! Blue and white everywhere! Dodgers fans so deep we could hardly move! But we managed to find a spot spacious enough to stand to get a glimpse of the boys in Blue! After a while it started to fill in. For us standing on an intersection corner was still ideal as opposed to feeling stuck between a sidewalk and a building. There were beach balls and footballs tossed between fans, and music being played through the speakers (Kendrick was definitely in the atmosphere!)
It was a beautiful day in the City of Angels! After the buses full of players and those affilaited with the organization passed by we all started to disperse into the middle of Figueroa! Even the loud motorbikes and industrial firecrackers being set off lent to the vibe! LOL! My parents and I made our way down to LA after while still full of fans, was a much calmer vibe. I figured since we were in the area that we could pay a visit to Kobe Bryant’s statue in front of the Crypto arena.
Check out my IG reel and some pics I took of an incredible day!
